Feature: The Analysis module of ProntoQCS is used for statistical analysis based on the results of a checklist. Those results can also be compared against other test plans. ProntoQCS tightly integrates the data captured from tests with Microsoft Excel where all of the statistical analysis is done. It utilizes ActiveX to give Excel direct access to the database and uses VB Scripts within Excel to do the complex statistical mathematics that are required. The Analysis module includes: T-squared analysis Regression analysis Auto-email notification based on identified trends Benefits: ProntoQCS gives engineers a familiar and very broad base with which to use the Analysis module. Spreadsheets, data and charting are nicely integrated providing an easy user interface. ProntoQCS also minimizes the learning curve and maximizes the ability of the User to exchange data with trading partners. Ultimately, it allows the User to easily enhance calculations to meet specific vendor or products needs. Situation: A manufacturer of innovative optical fiber, cable and related components for the telecommunications industry. Fiber optic cables contain fibers yielding outstanding geometrical and strength characteristics, with attenuation (signal loss) that approaches the theoretical minimum of germanium-doped silica-core glass. Fiber optic cables contain fibers yielding outstanding geometrical and strength characteristics, with attenuation (signal loss) that approaches the theoretical minimum of germanium-doped silica-core glass. Cables comply with TL 9000, ISO 9001 manufacturing, Telcordia testing and ICEA standards. The cables also undergo aggressive environmental and mechanical testing that reaches beyond conventional industry standards. The ProntoQCS Analysis
module can provide the ability to test fibers and grade them for attenuation.
Multi-variate tests and data analysis determines the interaction between
various factors and manufacturing processes. This will allow the ability
to provide new fiber technologies that meet the rapid changes fueled
by continued bandwidth demand and systems evolution. |
