Now you can maintain proper quality in your manufactured goods!
Pronto Progress' Quality Control Software (ProntoQCS) provides the tools for ensuring the maintenance of proper quality in manufactured goods. By setting up interfaces with your current ERPsystems (including Symix Syteline® and QAD's MFG/PRO®), you can track manufacturing test results to ensure the product is how your customers want it. ProntoQCS gives you the tool for tracking the quality of your product from beginning to end! It can either run independently of your existing ERP system as a stand-alone or it can be integrated into your system.
ProntoQCS tracks the manufacture of an item through the process of its creation. It allows each stage of the process to be tracked and verified through testing. Each stage the item goes through is identified in the Quality system as part of a Job. A Job either qualifies itself for shipment or provides qualification for other jobs to ship or it provides both.
Total Quality Management (TQM) tells us that true Quality Management comes from gaining control of a process and improving on the process. ProntoQCS allows manufacturing the ability to track whether the process is at fault and how to potentially improve that process.
ProntoQCS consists of four basic components that maintain the standards for testing of a piece within a job.
- Specifications - Specifications are created first as a documentation tool.
- Test Plans - Test Plans are created to design a plan to meet the specifications.
- Checklists - Checklists are created to provide the necessary tests required for a particular job.
- Specimens with Results - Specimens are generated to track the tests that are required for each piece of a job, and Results are generated to store the results of each requirement that is necessary to pass a test.
What can ProntoQCS do for you? ProntoQCS gives you control to ensure the quality of your product through:
- Consolidated Specifications - The common format of specifications enables a company to identify and consolidate like information. Consolidation reduces specification maintenance and retrieval costs. Specifications can also reduce procurement and manufacturing costs when integrated into your ERP package.
- Lower Risk of Error - Consistent and easily retrievable specification information lowers the risk of miscommunication within the supply chain.
- Common Data Source - Specifications provide shared data for integration or retrieval by other corporate systems.
- Flexibility - The system has been built to store information in the way that you store information. Specifications can be set up how you want them setup without programming modifications.
- Consistent Procedures - Be able to provide a consistent methodology to the testing and quality of the manufacturing process. Develop checklists in a consistent method.
- Data Mining and Analysis - Be able to view the results in a very easy to understand way and to analyze any test results to determine the cause to any problems. Drill down through results and perform different statistical analysis on your results the way you want to.
